Many times, when I want to start a new project, or if I'm having difficulties with part of a pattern, I can hop into a community and get help. Whether it's about knitting, crocheting, weaving, sewing, or working on a chainmaille project - the communities are full of awesome and generous people who are willing to take extra time to help you out.
One of the main drawbacks, though, is that not only do I come away with the solution, I often come away with new ideas. Like - I really need to get into new crafts, right? If only I didn't have to work to pay the bills.....
This weekend, a fellow crafter replied to a cry for help I posted not too long ago. I was given a great solution that I had not even considered. Now I'm inspired again, and I have a new product for my shop. Just in time for Valentine's Day. The picture below is kind of dark, but the lotus blossom is purple. There's a lit tea candle in the center. I'll make up some in red for Valentine's, then maybe some pretty pastels for Easter.
Stop by Southern Home Crafts in downtown Apex soon to see them in person.
